The first poster for the sixth season of FX's American Horror Story has been revealed, and it might be the most horrifying one yet.

The season 6 poster for American Horror Story is arguably the creepiest in the show's history. FX uploaded the poster to their social media accounts and it already has fans uncomfortable. The poster features a red-lipped woman who looks like she's sleeping, who also just so happens to have spiders crawling out of her eyes.

The poster also has the AHS logo with a red no. 6 and a question mark layered over it. Of course, this still doesn't reveal the theme of the season, which is only a month away from premiering.

It's not clear if the spidery poster will be the official one for season 6, but it probably indicates that this season will be a creepy one.

Artwork for American Horror Story has become one of the highly-anticipated elements of each season. Posters for past seasons have included the iconic White Nun for Asylum, the snake weaving in and out of three different mouths for Coven, and the screaming clown for Freak Show.

The show's cast and crew have been very secretive about season 6 in a way AHS has never done before. The theme is still unknown, as is the time period, the character names and personalities and just about every other element. However, TMZ has posted some photos from the set that seem to indicate a colonial theme, particularly involving the Roanoke Island, a.k.a. the Lost Colony.

Actors who are said to be involved with season 6 include Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson and Leslie Jordan. FX has not revealed these cast members officially, however.

American Horror Story season 6 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
