There is no doubt that Grand Theft Auto VI would be as much of a hit as its predecessor, the record-breaking GTA V. With this said, Rockstar Games seems to be approaching the development of the upcoming title with very careful hands, with reports stating that the firm has already begun on pre-production for the game.

If the rumors do prove true and Grand Theft Auto 6 is indeed in pre-production, it would not take long before avid fans of the franchise would be able to get a glimpse of what the upcoming title would have to offer.

Despite the current gray areas in the GTA 6 development, however, fans of the series have already given a notable wishlist with regards to the upcoming game's features.

A Female Protagonist

While Rockstar itself previously stated that the premise of Grand Theft Auto is inherently a masculine story, fans are nonetheless hoping that the GTA 6 would feature a first for the series -- a female lead. While this would be unorthodox under Grand Theft Auto standards, the addition of a female lead would undoubtedly add a lot of character to the game.

A Massive Map

Grand Theft Auto prides itself in the fact that its open world map is intricately detailed. However, fans of the series have are unanimous in the notion that Grand Theft Auto 6 would be so much better if it had a more expansive map. With this said, many are speculating that Rockstar might be pushing for a U.S.-sized map for GTA 6. While this particular rumor is best taken with a grain of salt, it does, nonetheless, offer a new dynamic and perspective to the already massive game.

Better, More Important NPCs

If there's one thing that the Grand Theft Auto franchise is lacking, it is the dynamism of the games' NPC. Other RPGs in the market have made NPCs more important over the years, with some chance encounters resulting in a vastly different storyline for the player. If Rockstar does improve its NPCs for GTA 6, the game would surely be far more immersive than ever before.

More Side Jobs

Grand Theft Auto V was almost perfect. In fact, the only real gripe of its players is the fact that the game is relatively short, despite its innovative introduction of three protagonists. Thus, numerous GTA fans are clamoring for GTA VI to have far more side jobs and quests, in order to make the game more interactive, and give it far more replay value.

FPS Options and VR Compatibility

With Grand Theft Auto VI's release date likely to be around 2019 to 2020, numerous fans are requesting that Rockstar employs a first-person view with the game, specifically for those who are using virtual reality gear. GTA V already saw the implementation of an FPS perspective for the game, and fans have reacted fairly well to it. Thus, it would not be surprising at all if Rockstar opts to include a default FPS/VR view for Grand Theft Auto VI
