Angelina Jolie's team apparently contacted Melissa Etheridge after the musician made some comments against her regarding the Brangelina divorce.

Etheridge appeared on Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night and talked about recent comments she made against Jolie taking her divorce from Brad Pitt so public. She admitted that she was contacted by Jolie's team, led by PR crisis manager (and Olivia Pope inspiration) Judy Smith.

Etheridge spoke about how "there are people whose job it is to kind of fix things for celebrities," adding, "I haven't seen Brad in forever . . . Every time I say something it gets turned around and twisted and all of a sudden I'm saying something about [Angelina] ... so I thought I would do what I do best, and I wrote a song about it today."

It was then that she performed a song called "The Fixer Blues", which was dedicated to Pitt and Jolie's divorce:

"Seems I said some things about an old, old, old friend that got some people talking," she sang on the show. "Well, I know broken hearts, a thing or two about divorce, I've been there before once... OK twice. And I have not seen my friend in over 10 years and I swear I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever met his wife.

"So the moral of this story is divorce is a b---- and nobody wins. Let's not do unto others and please forgive us our sins, life is too hard anyway. So when you chatting with Andy, you better watch what you say."

The singer previously stated on Cohen's Sirius XM radio show that, "It breaks my heart that anyone would take something as personal as your marriage and your relationship and your rights to your children and do it as purposefully as I see it's being done."
