Kim Kardashian West has her own security team, but where were they during the shocking robbery incident on Sunday?

Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday in her private hotel apartment in Paris, with the two robbers taking over $10 million in jewelry. This led many of her millions of fans to wonder how they managed to slip past her security team.

But now there's a report that Kardashian West's main bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, was out with Kourtney and Kendall Jenner in a Paris nightclub. The report comes from the DailyMail, which claims that the trio rushed back to Kardashian West's hotel when they heard about the robbery.

It a darkly ironic twist of fate, Kardashian West had just tweeted positively about Duvier on Sept. 28, when he managed to stop a well-known prankster from kissing her behind in Paris.

Duvier also tweeted on Sunday that being a bodyguard requires "dedication, responsibility and passion."

Details on why Duvier and anyone else on Kardashian West's security team was missing during the robbery are unknown at this time.

A source told People that Duvier's lack of presence was likely because Kardashian West was presumed "safe" at the hotel.

"It wouldn't be that strange for Pascal to be dispatched to be with Kourtney or the other family members once Kim was 'safely' in her residence," a source told the magazine. "And he regularly provides security for the whole family - not just Kim."

Meanwhile, Matt Fiddes, who was Michael Jackson's bodyguard, has already recommended that Kardashian West think more carefully about her team.

Fiddles said she should :review her staff and wipe the slate clean," adding, "There should have been at least six guards outside the apartment she was in and security inside and cameras on the door looking out. There should also have been sensor maps in place and they should also have been linked to the police. It is negligence on the part of her security team. It really isn't that difficult."
