Lady Gaga seems to be going for a much more organic, country-leaning route for her upcoming fifth studio album, Joanne.

Gaga became famous through electro-pop singles like "Just Dance", "Poker Face", "Bad Romance" and "Born This Way", but now it looks like the eccentric musician is delivering something completely different.

The superstar released a new song Wednesday night off her album Joanne called "Million Reasons". The song is a folksy, country ballad about looking for that one good reason "to stay" in a relationship gone wrong. With relatable lyrics and a simple yet emotional melody, it's a far cry from her many EDM-flavored tracks and references to artists like Jeff Koons.

This change was even more evident Wednesday night during Gaga's first "Dive Bar" tour stop in Nashville, with the singer sporting a pink hat, a bedazzled blazer and wielding a guitar as she performed four songs from Joanne. Outside of "Perfect Illusion", her lead single off the album, the set was very country-themed - appropriate given the location, but it has had longtime fans talking on social media about the artist taking a big left turn into "country" music.

Gaga spoke with Rolling Stone in a new interview about the record, stating, "I went away for a minute, from feeling the pressure of having to deliver a pop record."

While Gaga has said in recent radio interviews that Joanne is still a pop album, she also says in the Rolling Stone interview that there is a certain classic American theme.

"I wouldn't necessarily say it's Americana. There is a lot of other influences in the album that are British, and there's a lot of international influence on other songs, that you haven't heard yet on the record," she noted. "But there is an American element - a pride. In what we love about America. Things that have lasted a long time. Classics in America."

"Million Reasons" is currently available for purchase now, along with a pre-order for Joanne, which is out Oct. 21.
