"Enchanted 2" production is just at its preliminary stage but the film has already found a director to helm the story of Giselle 10 years after her happily ever after.

For Disney fans, who are still unaware, the giant film outfit is bringing back Gisele and her prince charming. Although "Enchanted 2" is still in early stages of production, Disney has just confirmed they have found the director for the film.

Cinema Blend reported that Adam Shankman will be helming this movie musical. Shankman is best known for directing films like "Rock of Ages" and "Hairspray." There may still be a lot of work needed to be done to finish the sequel. However, finding the director is a huge leap for the production team.

"Enchanted" which was released in 2007 will celebrate its 10th year anniversary next year, which also happens to be when the sequel starts filming. In a feature by Movie Pilot, the story of "Enchanted 2" will be set 10 years after Gisele (Amy Adams) marries Robert (Patrick Dempsey).

The conflict in the sequel, speculated by some, will be that Gisele may be feeling a little disenchanted after a decade of marriage. She will start to question if what she wanted years ago is still what she longs for in present time. This change of heart may cause huge problems not just for the real world, where Gisele currently lives, but also for Andalasia, the animated place where she came from.

For now, the working title of part 2 is "Disenchanted." Take note, that this is not official since working title may be changed later on during the course of the production.

With regard to the actors who starred in the original film, two have expressed their willingness to reprise their roles. Amy Adams, who plays Gisele, said in an interview that she wants to be involved in the sequel. James Marsden, who was casted as Prince Edward, also seems to be excited for the sequel.

Patrick Dempsey, however, has yet to confirm if he is coming back as Robert Philip in "Enchanted 2".
