Robert Griffin III may have to pay his wife's legal bills after filing for divorce months ago.

As the Cleveland Browns quarterback enjoys the company of his rumored new girlfriend, Grete Sadeiko, his estranged wife, Rebecca Liddicoat, has filed her response to his divorce papers and requested he be responsible for her attorney's fees.

"[Griffin's] estranged wife wants the Cleveland Browns QB to pay for the legal team she had to hire after he filed for divorce," TMZ Sports revealed to readers on Tuesday. "Rebecca Liddicoat -- who was married to RGIII for 3 years -- filed her response to his divorce petition in Texas last week."

Griffin and Liddicoat got married three years ago and share one child together, a 1-year-old daughter. However, in her response documents, Liddicoat did not go into detail about their future custody arrangements or the division of their property. Instead, the outlet explained, she simply denied "everything he said in his petition, across the board." She also noted that Griffin should be paying her legal bill, likely because he was the breadwinner in their relationship.

"[Liddicoat] says she needs attorneys to ensure she gets her share of their assets and a fair custody arrangement for their 1-year-old daughter," the outlet explained.

Griffin officially called it quits with Liddicoat on Sept. 7. Since then, he has been dating Florida State University athlete Grete Sadeiko, pictured below.
