Hollywood leading man Gerard Butler is expected to be released from rehab today after being treated for substance abuse. 

According to TMZ, Butler checked into the Betty Ford Center three weeks ago for an addiction to prescription drugs and cocaine.

The actor's troubles reportedly began during the filming of 300 in 2006, when he took pain medication to deal with the physical demands of shooting the movie. The problem escalated last December when Butler was injured during an accident while shooting Of Men and Mavericks.
