Their bitter custody battle isn't keeping Angelina Jolie from spending time with her children an even taking them out shopping for nice gifts-even if the day she chose happens to be the same day as their father Brad Pitt's birthday.

Jolie was spotted taking Shiloh, 10, into Samy's Cameras, a store in Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 18, the same day that soon to be ex-husband Brad Pitt turned 53, and the outing seemed to be successful when it came to getting Shiloh a camera she liked.

"Shiloh is very interested in photography, and Angelina asked to look at some of the vintage cameras," a source told Us Weekly. "Angelina inspected the cameras from many different angles and was asking questions. Shiloh was listening intently and paying close attention."

"Angelina told Shiloh she would love to get her the camera and asked her, 'Are you satisfied?' She told Shiloh it even had black and white, which was a nice added feature. Shiloh nodded her head but didn't talk much. She really listened to Angelina and deferred to her on everything. Angelina purchased the camera an they stayed for about 10 minutes and then left with a driver," the source added.

The outing also notable came just one week before Christmas, and around the same time reports began to surface that questioned whether Pitt, who was cleared of child abuse allegations last month, would be able to see the couples six kids-Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne-at all on the holiday, after he wasn't allowed to see them over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Though nothing has been officially confirmed, it was reported by OK! Magazine that Pitt has been approved for only a four hour visit with his kids for Christmas, something that Jolie felt was appropriate because she wouldn't deny him the right to see the kids, but something that has Pitt devastated.

"She doesn't have the heart to refuse to let him see the children over the holidays and they would probably never forgive her if she did," a source said. "But Brad is going to have yo use every ounce of his acting skill when he arrives with their presents and put on a brave face to mask the torment he's going through over spending so little time with them."

As the two prepare to duke it out in court over custody, their arrangement currently stands where Pitt only gets visitation when a therapist gives permission.
