Sony has started rolling out the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update for two more Xperia smartphones. The Android 7.0 Nougat OS rollout has been frequent and has been reaching a large number of devices than ever before. There are numerous updates and upgrades for various smartphone makers.

In the late August, Sony had announced a list of devices that will be getting the latest Android OS update. The first two Sony smartphones that got the Android 7.0 Nougat OS update were Sony Xperia X Performance and XZ. Now the next in the list Xperia X and X Compact are getting this latest OS update.

In an official tweet Sony had said that,"#Android 7.0, Nougat now rolling for Xperia X & X Compact - rollouts are phased, check locally & watch for the notification." Sony has cleared that it is rolling out the update in a phased manner, the users should check for the notifications on their devices.

The Android 7.0 Nougat OS update for Xperia X is having the number F5121, while Xperia X Dual is F5122, and Xperia X Compact is F5321. The update is marked as build number 34.2.A.0.266, reports DroidMen.

Users from Australia, India, Latin America, Middle East, Russia, Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam are reportedly getting the latest update as of now. The Android security patch level will also get updated to December 2016. The update is having a size of 1.2GB!

For those users who might not have received this update yet, it is still on the roll-out process, and likely to reach all the users in the next couple of days.

IndianExpress says that the smartphone maker has stuck to its promise of updating its smartphones to Android Nougat. Other than its Xperia X range, the latest Android Nougat update is also scheduled for Xperia Z5, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z4 Tablet.
