Hollywood saw plenty of splits and heartbreaks ruled the roost. Many relationships of tinsel town that once stood for "happily-ever-after" bit the dust, reports US Weekly. So, here is taking a look at the couples who decided to call it quits.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Also known as Brangelina and as the "Golden couple of Hollywood," Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt split after Jolie filed for divorce in September this year, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for separation. This one was hurtful as it came after 12 years of togetherness and after sharing six children together.

Rihanna and Drake

After wooing her publicly and dating for a few months, Drake split from RiRi. Though not dramatic, it did hurt the fans as everyone was speculating that they would eventually marry.

Mariah Carey and James Packer

Romance went kaput between the songstress and the billionaire after their Greece getaway. Packer called off their engagement in October.

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney

This five-year-romance came to an end in July after their February 2015 engagement. Distance was attributed to be the reason for their breakup.

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris

After dating for around a year, the Bad Blood singer split from Harris. The surprising thing was that she soon took off with Tom Hiddleston.

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart

For Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart, things were going well after a brief breakup in 2014 but the five-year-relationship finally came tumbling down in August.
