Celebrities at Cannes Film Festival were duped into believing they were rubbing shoulders with Psy this week until they learned that they had been entertaining an imposter.

A man who resembled the South Korean rapper and dressed similar to him had walked the red carpet at several premeres, attended events, scored freebies and was photographed constantly by paparazzi, according to multiple reports, until the real Psy called him out on Twitter on Wednesday.

"Seems like there's another ME at cannes . . . say Hi to him. Lol," Psy, 35, tweeted, adding that he's currently in Singapore with the hashtag, #PSYinSINGAPORE.

"Here the picture of Fake PSY in Cannes spotted by Scooter Braun!! LOL# RealPsyinsingapore," the real Psy captioned a picture of his look-alike posing with a fan.

The impersonator was cleverly dressed as the Gnagnam Style rapper. He wore Psy's signature round sunglasses, a suit jacket and pocket square. The resemblance was so uncanny he even tricked at least one celebrity into believing he was the real deal.

Skyfall actress Naomie Harris tweeted a photo of herself with the lookalike on May 21 with the caption, "Me and Psy at the Chopard party in Cannes! Xx."

The James Bond star shared that she later learned of the ruse on Thursday.

"It looks as if we've been fooled, that wasn't the real Psy!" Harris wrote on Twitter on May 23. "Could anyone else tell from the picture? Or am I just going crazy!? Haha!"

The real Psy is in Singapore attending the Social Star Awards. The ceremony was held on May 23 and hosted by HBO Entourage star Jeremy Piven and Jessica Alba.

The YouTube record-breaking Psy tweeted a photo of himself with Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler at the event. Carly Rae Jepsen and LMFAO were also in attendance.
