For the past few months, game developer Hello Games has been promising gamers some new updates that would address the controversial launch of its open universe action adventure video game, No Man's Sky.

The studio has so far released the game's latest update, called the Foundation Update, which has addressed a lot of issues that fans have been griping about since the game was launched.

Now, new reports are revealing some new information regarding an unreleased update that could be coming to the game in the next few months. According to a Reddit user named Eegandj, via Daily Star, some bits of code that he has uncovered apparently points to a brand new update that may be adding ground vehicle to the game.

The resourceful fan apparently went scouring through the game's source code and found references to a Buggy vehicle. After he made some more digging, the fan found more evidence of land vehicles via several tire texture codes. Several other dataminers then went looking for more evidence of the alleged vehicle. Surprisingly, the search has now come up with the actual process of unlocking the vehicles.

According to the findings, via Daily Express, unlocking the vehicle in the unreleased update will apparently involve a lot of farming, building, and actually hiring a mechanic. No Man's Sky players will also reportedly need to gather the correct materials, which they can acquire by completing certain missions.

Apart from getting the vehicles, the data mining results also reveal that players will reportedly also have the option to upgrade their new land vehicles with accessories such as storage, weapon systems, engine components, and even jetpacks.

Hello Games has yet to confirm if such an update is indeed coming out for No Man's Sky. However, seeing as that it may have already been encoded into the game, it should be safe to assume that players may be getting land vehicles in future updates coming out this year.
