Fans of The Big Bang Theory have been waiting for Season 11 confirmation for a long time but it does not look like it will come soon. Season 10 is on air and many feel that it would be the last in the CBS comedy series.

CBS has not made any official announcement regarding The Big Bang Theory, Season 11. What is more, actor Jim Parsons, who plays the hilarious character, Sheldon Cooper, is busy in other projects and this year he will get even busier. Sources say that he is focusing on direction as well and therefore, may want to leave the comedy series.

The fact that CBS is still in negotiation process with the actors has made many lose hope and it is being said that the current Season 10 might prove to be the last. The cancelation rumors have gained strength after CBS confirmed that the renewal process is ongoing. President Glenn Geller has played down the apprehensions by saying that negotiations are on and that they are optimistic of the outcome, claims Cinema Blend.

However, he added that no one knows what will happen with The Big Bang Theory Season 11. Shedding light on negotiations, he said that in some cases contract disputes are so hard that the show is shut down permanently but with The Big Bang Theory things are different as fans and actors alike remain hopeful.

It may be recalled here that Season 11 ran into troubles after the star cast did not renew their contract and demanded a raise in their salary. Something similar happened in the past as well. In 2014, Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny, had asked for $1 million per episode. However, it was settled amicably and the show continued.

Now that Season 10 is on air and contract of most of the star cast has also expired, it has become a matter of concern for fans. They are afraid that their favorite comedy show will not return and this despite the fact that it enjoys high ratings. Notably, Season 10 received a total of 15.8 million viewers and a rating of 3.3, reports TV Line.

The next episode of The Big Bang Theory Season 10 titled The Romance Recalibration will air on January 19 on CBS. Watch the teaser video below.
