Rapper 2 Chainz has had quite the come-up and he's not slowing down.

Just a year after his debut album hit stores, the 35-year-old rapper is ready to release his sophomore effort.

"FEATURES ON HAULT... NEW ALBUM ON THE WAY SEPTEMBER TENTH!!!!," he wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

His debut Based On A T.R.U. Story was released in 2012 and went to No.1 on the charts, selling 147,000 copies in its first week, according to Billboard. The album was also nominated for a Grammy award and its singles No Lie featuring Drake and I'm Different were radio hits.

Aside from his lead act performances, 2 Chainz has also collaborated with some of hip-hop's biggest names. He notably makes an appearance on Kanye West's 2012 single Mercy, along with rappers Big Sean and Pusha T.

The College Park, Ga. native, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, also became a part of the highly successful Fast & Furious franchise. Although he doesn't make a cameo in the movie, he appears on the sixth installment's soundtrack. The song titled We Own It features Wiz Khalifa.

2 Chainz celebrated his contribution to the franchise and attended the movie's Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday, May 21, where he performed the song with his collaborator. He also uploaded a photo with the movie's lead actor Vin Diesel on Instagram that day.

He can now add the title actor to his resume, as well. He played in an episode of NBC's series Law & Order: SVU in May and in February he also appeared on CBS' 2 Broke Girls.

But, the rapper will now be devoting all his time to his sophomore album. As his tweet implies, he won't be appearing on anymore features until its release.

Let's see if his yet-to-be-named album will be as successful as Based On A T.R.U. Story when it's released this fall.
