Princess Diana wrote a number of touching and moving personal letters to friends all through her married life. One such letter was written to designer Dudley Poplak, in which she had mentioned that she was afraid for the royal family's future.

This letter, which was not seen before, will be put on the auction house on January 25, according to Express. The letter was penned on Kensington Palace stationary. The flow of the prose displays her feelings of fears and frustration. The letter was dated December 3, 1991.

She said, "I do feel extremely isolated more than ever now, as I see what's coming to this country and this family. During the last couple of years, I have been through a self-development programme, which has brought a deep understanding of those who suffer and those who need love and support."

"I feel that you believe in me, Dudley, and you've no idea what this means to me, as I am continuously misunderstood by those around me. Please may we continue our conversation in January, when the pace of life isn't so fast and furious, as I'd care to ask for your advice and relay to you my inner thoughts."

The letter was followed by Andrew Morton's biography titled Diana: Her True Story. As her marriage was already on the rocks, the publication of Andrew Morton's book revealed the truth to everyone. They were based on transcripts of secret interviews with Diana, revealed Morton after many years, according to dailymail.

Just one year later, in December 1992, the couple announced their separation. Queen Elizabeth called 1992 as her "annus horribillis." But looking back at the history of the royal family, it cannot really be said that the family has suffered anything more disastrous than Princess Diana's divorce and death.

On the whole, Prince Harry has turned from playboy to patron of charities, just like his mother. His brother Princes William and his wife Kate too are involved in creating mental health awareness, which is also a tribute to Princess Diana.

Morton's book revealed that Princess Diana was suffering from depression, anxiety, bulimia and suicide attempts. Morton released the book with an alternative title: Diana: Her True Story In Her Own Words, following the princess's tragic death in 1997.

The royalty has not suffered as badly as she had feared. Still, Princess Diana's attempts to remove herself from her slough of despair and get involved in service seem rather heroic. The letter of Princess Diana seems to be priced at an estimate of £800 and would be sold on January 25.
