The tech-savvy people have another smartphone to wait for as ASUS announced the coming of its next generation ZenFone in May. The Zenfone 4 series is set to be revealed in a couple of months and the Taiwanese computer hardware and electronics company is eyeing to ship out more than 20 million units of it.

Recently, an ASUS X00GD was seen at a Chinese certification website TEENA that was believed to be part of the upcoming new series of smartphones from the Taipei-based Corporation. However, details about the specs and features of the new mobile phone are still scarce, but there are reports leaking its traits.

According to NDTV Gadgets360, the Zenfone 4 will be carrying a huge battery capability with 4850mAh. It is reported to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and will be powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6750 processor.

It is also assumed that it has a 5.2-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels. The Chinese publication also noted that it will come with different variants like 2 GB RAM with 16 GB storage, 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB built-in storage.

Aside from that, it is also believed that the Zenfone 4 equips a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash while its front camera will be 8-megapixel. It, too, might have the features such as a fingerprint sensor that is embedded in its front home button. The phone is said to be measuring 149.5x73.7x8.85mm and weighs about 169.5 grams.

Meanwhile, ASUS recently confirmed the release of its two new handsets, the Zenfone 3 Zoom, and the Zenfone AR. Although the company is not yet sure when it will be exactly released, it is expected to be out in March, Ubergizmo reported.

It has been said that the company has shipped out 17.5 million of smartphones in 2016 which evidently decreased by 14.6 percent compared to the handsets it delivered in 2015. As it is now planning to surpass its last year's record, the upcoming Zenfone 4 should do the work to attract more potential buyers.
