The iOS 10.2 users now have the reason to celebrate as the Yalu with jailbreak support for iOS 10.2 is about to come. However, not everyone is in for the treat as the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus owners can't get to have this update.

Unfortunately, the upcoming jailbreak won't be compatible with any iPhone 7 devices, according to WCCFTech. However, these units' iOS 10 and iOS 10.1.1 will still be supported. It is, too, not yet confirmed if there would be an update suitable for the said gadgets in the near future as there are no further news about it.

The claim iOS 10.2 won't be rolling out for the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus is confirmed by the hacker qwertyoruiop himself on his Twitter page. "My fix for the issues in the 10.1 jailbreak will be to add support to 10.2. It will however not work on iPhone 7 on 10.2, just 10 and 10.1," he tweeted.

The hacker didn't reveal the exact reason why iOS 10.2 jailbreak would not work on the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, but per Redmond Pie, he might just avoiding to cause another smartphone explosion or burning.

Moreover, the hacker is said to be using the older exploits for iOS 10 jailbreak that is already tested to other iPhone devices. There are also assumptions that they are preserving the newer ones to be used for future jailbreak releases. Aside from that, he also hinted that the coming Yalu jailbreak update for iOS 10.2 will also carry all the fixes with the current Yalu beta releases.

Meanwhile, iOS 10.2 users are advised not to update their devices of the updates coming their way. Apple is said to be releasing iOS 10.2.1 with iOS 10.3 beta coming January 10. If this update pops up, users might need to avoid this if they are planning to jailbreak their units.
