Finally, the long wait is over as the Pokemon Bank update is already made accessible to Pokemon Sun and Moon. Also, its users are lucky enough to receive Z-Crystals for Mew from now until October 2.

According to Polygon, the Pokemon Bank, a Nintendo 3DS service that lets the gamers to transport their much-loved Pokemon amongst varieties of mainline titles, is now compatible with Pokemon Sun and Moon. With this upgrade, even the downloadable versions can be transferred to a single game.

Its users could also use it to transfer Pokémon they have caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Yellow into your Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Moon game. Pokemon from Pokemon Omega Ruby, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Pokemon X, and Pokemon Y can also be carried into Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon in a similar way.

Furthermore, Digital Trends reported that Pokemon upholds the tradition of transferring Pokemon from previous generations. This basically means that some gamers might still be utilizing their original Pokemon from 20 years ago, having relocated them to the most recent games during each generation.

Nevertheless, the older Pokemon transferred to Pokemon Sun and Moon unluckily won't be qualified to participate in The Pokémon Company's official Pokemon Video Game Championships (VGC) competition this year. This was due to the new rule that orders any Pokemon used in official competitions must have been caught or hatched within Sun or Moon. But still, gamers could at least use their favorite Pokemon to beat the new Elite Four.

Also, in celebration of the much-awaited update, all Pokemon Bank users are entitled to a special gift. Starting now until Oct. 2, a rare Z-Crystal item for the legendary Pokemon Mew will be given away solely through Pokemon Bank. The Mewnium-Z item works with Pokemon Sun and Moon, which familiarized the Z-Move mechanic to the franchise.

The Pokemon Bank costs $4.99 for an annual subscription and together with the ability to move Pokemon between games with ease. This service also offers additional storage for trainers with large monster collections. For Sun and Moon, using Pokemon Bank will also bring together the expanded National Pokédex into the games, as a way to account for the rest of the Pokemon previously inaccessible in the main campaign.

Although it seems very exciting that Pokemon Bank is already accessible to Pokemon Sun and Moon, the gamers should keep in mind that Pokémon's journey forward into the Sun and Moon generation is a one-way trip and they can't transfer monsters backward. With this, they are advised to make sure they're prepared to leave their old PCs before sending Pokemon forward through Poke-time.
