Fans and loyal players of the "Grand Theft Auto" game franchise are eagerly awaiting the arrival of "Grand Theft Auto 6" or "GTA 6." During the last quarter of 2016, several reports about "GTA 6" release date have circulated on the internet but none of it has been confirmed by Rockstar Games. Now that we are already in 2017, fans of the game franchise are thirsting for some "GTA 6" news and updates on the game's development.

According to VG24/7, "GTA 6" has been released in Brazil. However, before players jump up and down with excitement, take note that the said "GTA 6" version released in Brazil is made for PlayStation 2. The said reports has already gone viral and die-hard "GTA" players have decided to come to the bottom of the said early version of "GTA 6."

It turns out that the "GTA 6" spotted in Brazil first made its debut online via a photo posted on Reddit. Based on the comments in the Reddit thread, "GTA" players knew right away that it appeared to be a heavily modded version of "GTA: San Andreas" version.

The reported "GTA 6" launched in Brazil certainly pumped up the hype for the real "GTA 6." According to Tech Radar, "GTA 6" is still in the pre-production stage. Further, Tech Radar reports that while preliminary work has begun for "GTA 6," Rockstar Games has not settled for a location yet.

Meanwhile, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is reportedly slated for release by the end of 2017, making the creation and development of "GTA 6" pushed further down the road. With this rate, the timeline of "GTA 6" production and release will greatly depend on the developments of its Rockstar Games counterpart, "Red Dead Redemption 2." As of writing, "GTA 5" is still considered to be a very hot item in the world of video games, with a rise of 4.20 percent from Dec. 2016 average players charts.
