Dallas Mavericks are reportedly interested in Iman Shumpert, while Cleveland Cavalier is said to be reaching out to Deron Williams. Can the two teams possibly work on a deal?

According to Sam Amick of USA Today, Mavericks has shown interest in Iman Shumpert when he was still a free agent. He has $31 million for this season with a player option for the 2018-2019 season.

Iman Shumpert was described as sensational in the last game as he scored 16 points with five three-pointers. Cavalier's shooting guard's primary job was to keep Russell Westbrook busy. Tristan Thompson said that Iman Shumpert exactly knows his game plan in making Russell uncomfortable throughout the game.

However, the Cavaliers have lost seven out of 11 games, and the team has got to do something about it. LeBron James is said to be looking for a player who is great in multi-tasking so that he and Kyrie Irving do not have to create every opportunity on offense.

According to Amick, the Cavaliers have contacted the Mavericks to make a trade deal involving Deron Williams. He is ranked fourth on the team with an average 13.5 points per game with 7.1 assists which make him lead the roster.

Deron Williams averaged 16 points and eight assists during his 11 years with Utah Jazz and Brooklyn Nets. At 32, he has proven his moves as the team's guard. Could Deron Williams be the player LeBron James is looking for?

LeBron James has said via Cleveland, Joe Vardon that the team needs to get a point guard. Sports enthusiasts believe that Deron Williams could provide a score for the team and give Kyrie Irving a rest.

However, CBS Sports reported that the Mavericks have no interest in trading in Deron Williams. He is equally unattainable and is not interested in a buyout.
