Players of the highly popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), "The Elder Scrolls Online," have finally gotten their prayers answered as Bethesda has confirmed the arrival of the game's latest expansion, "Morrowind." Previous rumors and leaks from data miners have long claimed that the land of Vvardenfell was going to be added to the game and it seems like all of the claims are now proven true.

Vvardenfell is, of course, the mainland of the Morrowind region and long-time fans will quickly recognize the area when it arrives for "The Elder Scrolls Online." Bethesda confirmed the arrival of the popular "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" area in a recently held Twitch live stream, where they also confirmed that the expansion was going to be called "Morrowind."

The developers also revealed that they were going to be placing the new map on the north-eastern side of Tamriel. Aside from closely resembling the map that was featured in the previous "Elder Scrolls" game, Bethesda is apparently going to be offering an entirely different atmosphere for the familiar map. Since the map itself is set 700 years prior to the events of "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind," a lot of the iconic vista will reportedly look quite different, as per True Achievements.

Bethesda also confirmed that the map will contain a lot of level-correct content, which means that veteran players should have no problems jumping right into new quests and missions. New players can also directly jump right into Vvardenfell by creating a new character, as per a report from GameSpot.

Additionally, the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) expansion will be coming with new heroes and characters, including the addition of the Warden. Wardens are melee type characters that also come with their own pet called the War Bear.

"The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" DLC expansion is scheduled to arrive on June 6 for Mac OS X and Windows PC.
