The Samsung community has been patiently waiting for their handsets to obtain the Android 7.0 Nougat firmware upgrade. Now, a roadmap has been divulged which revealed the schedule of Nougat roll out to Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, Galaxy A and Galaxy J series handsets in Turkey.

According to Sammobile, it was just last week when Samsung's Turkish Vice President Tansu Yegen has posted on his Twitter account to share a roadmap that was revealing the roll out details of the Android 7.0 Nougat firmware in Turkey. Based on citations the Samsung Galaxy Samsung S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 are slated to obtain the software during the third week of February. Meanwhile, Nougat is likely to arrive on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge at the very end of this month.

With this plan of Samsung Electronics, the ANdori 7.0 Nougat update should then start reaching the Samsung Galaxy A (2016) series in May and finally the Samsung Galaxy J range in July. According to the list in the document, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are being enhanced with the Android Nougat this month since the upgrade may have started rolling out last Feb. 16.

Aside from that Phone Arena noted that as for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge model, this roadmap only concerns the release of Android 7.0 Nougat in Turkey. Nevertheless, it is still logical to think that a similar time frame can be projected in Europe and other markets where Samsung is retailing the Galaxy S7.

Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that many Samsung Galaxy S7 models that were sold outside the United States are engineered with Exynos chip, rather than the Snapdragon 820. With this, there is a probability that it might have a different timeline for the Android 7.0 Nougat update schedule in the U.S., seeing the carrier approval condition.

With the release of Android 7.0 Nougat to Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, Galaxy A and Galaxy J series in Turkey, its owners will be delighted as they have waited for this update. Moreover, it is hoped that similar firmware upgrade will reach other eligible handsets in other parts of the world.
