AJ Styles had a great run for 2016, going up against the many greats of the industry and capturing the coveted gold. However, there seems to be one idea that could mean bad not just for the superstar Styles will go up against, but also for the "Phenomenal One" himself.

19-year veteran AJ Styles came from many promotions in the past prior to being in the WWE. That being said, almost everything and everyone that the superstar does turn into an absolute gem-except presumably for his match with Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon. The particular event itself is said to already shaping up to be quite a disaster in more ways than one.

According to Bleacher Report, the build-up of AJ Styles for WrestleMania 33 is still an uncertain one, but the possibilities of going against Shane McMahon could bring the superstar down career-wise. This is due to the fact that McMahon is not authentically a trainer wrestler, despite his in-ring experiences. McMahon has been known primarily for his over-the-top antics, dangerous and perilous attempts to please the fans but it still does not validate him as a wrestler entirely.

"The Phenomenal One" could potentially go up against John Cena, especially after the recent clash that both stars had with WWE Champion Bray Wyatt, failing to capture the belt. Now that Randy Orton declared not wanting to face the WWE Champion, the question is still afloat, without any particularly determined contender just yet or so the world thinks. Nonetheless, AJ Styles is still without a fixed WrestleMania opponent, which at some point deserves a revelation in the near future.

Meanwhile, a recent talk with WWE superstar Baron Corbin divulges as to why he punched AJ Styles in mid-air back at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 pay-per-view. Corbin simply said that he believes he needed to react the way he did when a situation comes forth, which was played out rather perfectly by both superstars. It is still yet to be revealed on who Corbin will face at WrestleMania, Phoenix New Times reports.
