‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2 Spoilers: Downloaders Have to Kill Clary to Stop Valentine; Katherine McNamara Talks About Her Character, Simon’s Relationship

Although it looks like Clary (Katherine McNamara) is happy with her new beau Simon (Alberto Rosende), the "Shadowhunters" Season 2 protagonist is still upset. The role played by the 21-year-old star is devastated to know that she has a dark side and is actually connected to Valentine (Alan Van Sprang).

It has been revealed that Clary has a connection with "Shadowhunters" Season 2 villain Valentine. In fact, the powerful antagonist is actually her father, according to Korea Portal.

Hence, Clary will be squeezed with Valentine's evil plans in "Shadowhunters" Season 2. She will be torn choosing between saving the ones she loves or to be the counter of her father's wicked ideas.

With that, fans should wait for the possible epic meeting of Clary and Valentine in "Shadowhunters" Season 2. As the villain is determined to dominate the world and put the Shadowhunters down, his daughter will be his weapon to accomplish his evil plans. The Downloaders have to kill her so they could put a stop to his wicked plot.

Meanwhile, on the lighter side of "Shadowhunters" Season 2, Katherine McNamara revealed why this is the perfect time for Simon and Clary to be together. "I love the way that they've built their love story because Clary and Simon have grown up together," the "Maze Runner" star told Entertainment Weekly.

In fact, Katherine McNamara revealed Clary and Simon "know each other better than they know themselves." Now that the two is starting to build the foundation of their relationship in "Shadowhunters" Season 2, they are starting to create their own path.

The death of Jocelyn Fray (Maxim Roy) leads to Clary and Simon to be closer to each other. If truth be told, the changes that have happened from the previous chapter to "Shadowhunters" Season 2 helped him to be noticed by Valentine's daughter.
