Lindsay Lohan was scheduled to have family therapy at the Betty Ford Center this weekend but those plans were canceled RadarOnline reported Saturday.

Officials at the rehab facility wanted Michael and Dina Lohan to participate in group therapy with their daughter.  However, Michael told the site that he would not be a part of the gathering because of the lingering hostility between him and his ex-wife.

"I didn't want a confrontation with Dina while Lindsay is in rehab," Michael said..  "I've decided to go home and see my baby."

The site added that Dina would also not be present, but a reason was not given. Initially, the two exes agreed but their truce was broken on Thursday according to a report by TMZ. The site alleged that Dina and Michael got into a screaming match while taping a segment on the talk show, The Segment. The two accused each other of cheating during their marriage and blamed each other for Lindsay's troubles. Michael reportedly took two lie detector tests to prove his truthfulness but Dina refused to take any.

Lindsay entered Betty Ford on May 3 as part of her 90 day court ordered rehab.  In May, it was reported that doctors at the treatment facility believed that family rehab would allow Lindsay to progress in her recovery.  Families are encouraged to take an active role in group therapy.

"Lindsay's counselors want to get Dina and Michael to Betty Ford for a series of sessions in the next few weeks," the source said." They feel like having her work through her family issues could help Lindsay's recovery."

At the time, Michael pledged his cooperation.

"I will gladly attend, like I've always wanted to. It's the only thing that will give Lindsay resolve and a chance to finally have her life and both parents back in her life," he said.
