"Lucifer" Season 3 is still happening as the television network, Fox, has just renewed the fantasy series for a third-year run. This time, however, the filming location is going to take place in Los Angeles instead of its original Vancouver, Canada set.

Fox's TV series, "Lucifer," has just been submitted to the California Film Commission for its recent round of television project applications. Deadline reported that the show will have an edge over the ones that are already filming in Los Angeles. The reason being is that the commission tends to give priority to relocating series than shows that are already in production in LA.

Unfortunately, TV series producer, Warner Bros Television, has denied to comment about "Lucifer" Season 3 moving to Los Angeles. No official word yet coming from Fox network about the purported relocation of the series. More news about the matter should emerge soon.

If the reports were to be taken accurate, however, fans can certainly expect to hear new updates from the companies involved in the coming weeks. It was reported by Deadline that the California Film Commission may reveal its approved TV projects on March 20, which might include "Lucifer" Season 3.

Meanwhile, in other news, many fans previously thought that "Lucifer" Season 3 might not exactly happen. One reason behind the rumors was due to the low rating the show has received for its first and second seasons.

Another reason why fans thought "Lucifer" Season 3 was not going to happen was due to the frequent hiatus. The series first took a break during the winter season and returned to Fox earlier in 2017, according to Bleeding Cool. After airing three episodes, the WBTV-produced show took another break on Jan. 30. It was later announced that the rest of the episodes will return on the network on May 1, 2017.

Fortunately, the news broke out in mid-February about the renewal for "Lucifer" Season 3, thus officially putting the rumor to rest, Variety reported. No further news has been given about the next season, particularly the release time frame.
