Bad news for some fans of CBS network's police procedural action drama series, "Hawaii Five-0" has once again emerged online. The show has been plagued with cancellation rumors since last year but recently, new reports have been saying that this might really happen this time around and fans might just prepare for this disappointing announcement.

Even before the start of the seventh season of "Hawaii Five-0", cancellation reports were already surfacing. These kind of rumors are not new to the show, but to its fans and viewers, those are always something to worry about. The series is almost approaching the season finale for season 7, but CBS has still not made any announcements about possible renewal and such.

Additionally, according to Collider, "Hawaii Five-0" star actor Alex O'Loughlin, who portrays the series main character Steven "Steve" McGarrett, has already reportedly confirmed that the seventh or eighth (if possible) season will be his last. The actor apparently plans to leave the series and if ever the show gets a renewal, which is also a doubt, it is likely that he will no longer be a part of it.

O'Loughlin has reportedly expressed his desire to exit "Hawaii Five-0" during an interview and said that he doesn't trust himself into making the show more fun and exciting for the possible upcoming seasons anymore. Additionally, he mentioned that it was hard for him to keep his character entertaining for every episode, and might be one of the reasons why the show will likely get cancelled.

Aside from this, also one of the main characters of "Hawaii Five-0", actor Scott Caan, who portrays Danny "Danno" Williams will reportedly exit along with O'Loughlin. On the previous episodes, Danny has hinted about his desire to give up his position as a detective and was apparently planning to change career path. The scenario had made fans worried about his possible departure too.

According to Cinema Blend, one of "Hawaii Five-0" showrunners, Peter Lenkov reportedly said that he will not do another season of the show if O'Loughlin is not going to be in it. But with the actor's interview where he said he's going to depart, fans are reportedly losing hope of any renewals to happen.

However, Lenkov added that there are still other factors to consider before making a big move, so what fans are advised to do this time is to just wait for further announcements.
