Apple is releasing a new color for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus dedicated to their partnership with (Product)RED.

A new line of iPhones is being released this Friday, March 24. The phones have a solid red matte-aluminum finish in honor of the (Product)RED, which raises awareness and helps fight HIV and AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa, the home to over 2/3 of those inflicted with the disease around the world.

Apple has partnered with (Product)RED for over 10 years and has released multiple (RED) branded products.

"Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (Product)RED Special Edition all the way to today's lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch," said Apple CEO Tim Cook in a statement. "The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (Product)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can't wait to get it into customers' hands."

Apple has contributed $130 million to Project(RED) since their initial partnership, according to the charity's CEO Deborah Dugan.

"Combining the global reach of the world's most loved smartphone with our efforts to provide access to life-saving ARV medication in sub-Saharan Africa, customers now have a remarkable opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the Global Fund through the purchase of this new beautiful (PRODUCT)RED iPhone," Duran said in the Apple press release.

The (RED) iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available worldwide starting Friday, and will begin shipping in over 40 countries by the end of March, including the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the and United Arab Emirates.

Apple will ship the phones to Brazil, Chile, Colombia, India, Turkey and other countries in April.
