Apple connoisseurs are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the iPad Mini 5.

The iPad Mini 5 release date is not yet announced by Apple, though there are many rumors floating around that the product will launch in March. March is typically a big month for the release of big Apple products and considering the iPad Mini 4 was released back in September of 2015, a new version should be coming very soon.

A new version of the iPad Mini was released every year starting in 2012, but that streak ended with the 2015 release of the iPad Mini 4. The device has always been released in later months, with the first model being released on Nov. 2, 2012, the second on Nov. 12, 2013, the third on Oct. 22, 2014 and the fourth on Sept. 9, 2015.

Other rumors suggest that with the release of the iPhone 7 Plus there isn't much need for an updated iPad Mini, considering the iPhone 7 Plus is 5.5 inches and the iPhone Mini 4 is 7.9 inches. If Apple decides to keep increasing the size of iPhone screens, there won't be a huge difference in size anymore.

The iPad Mini 5 is predicted to include features like more speakers and its own Smart Connector for those who wish to attach a keyboard to the device. The 32GB version of the iPad Mini 5 may come with A10 Fusion and 2GB, with a cost of $399.

As always, Apple has not commented on any rumors surrounding the iPad Mini 5 or any of their products, regardless of how true they may be.

Apple has not officially announced a March event to unveil new products, but it is very much expected. However, it is expected that Apple will put on its Apple WWDC 2017 Keynote Address on June 12.
