Amber Carrington's performance didn't go quite as planned on Monday's episode of The Voice.

The young performer accidently forgot several of the words to Skid Row's I'll Remember You and had to quickly improvise.

"I was like, 'This is a live show and I'm about to like stand here and not know the words,'" Carrington said, according to Access Hollywood.

A Texas native was born in the '90s, after Skid Row came to prominence. Carrington had told Coach Adam Levine that she was unfamiliar with the song, but according to Carrington, it is one of the Maroon 5 frontman's favorite songs.

After leaving the stage, Carrington admitted she had messed up, but bystanders claimed that they had not noticed.

"People, they don't know that song and so they were like, 'No, I didn't notice it, but I totally forgot the freaking words, and I made up something," Amber told Access Hollywood. "I don't know how that happened. But, the words spilled out of me and I think they rhymed."

When Carrington was unable to recall quite what she said, Access Hollywood's Laura Saltman was able to inform her.

While the lyrics were supposed to say "Woke up to the sound of pouring rain/ the wind would whisper and I'd think of you/ and all the tears you cried, that called my name."

However, the first verse threw the competitor for a loop and she instead sang, "Woke up to the sound of pouring rain/ words of whispers in my head, they you love to me and smile that way/ and all the tears you cried that call my name."

Despite the small mistake, Carrington still put on a great country rendition of the rock anthem. Fans wishing to buy the single on iTunes can rest assured that the lyrics will be 100 percent correct.
