Record-breaking artist, Ed Sheeran, has dropped some teasing details about his upcoming cameo in the much awaited "Game of Thrones" Season 7 - and it involves a potentially romantic moment with Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

Sheeran made the teasing revelation during a laid-back interview with The Hits Radio. "I just do a scene with Maisie [Williams]. I don't really know what I'm allowed to say," the recording artist told The Hit Radio's Tom Green. "I sing a song and then she [Arya] goes, 'Oh, that's a nice song,' and I go, 'It's a new one' and then there are other lines."

Fans of the show know that "Game of Thrones" does not shy away from killing its lead and side characters. Because of that, some fans of the singer may start to wonder if his character would meet an untimely, grotesque, death in Season 7.

Luckily, it has been confirmed that Sheeran's yet-to-be-named character will not die in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, Mashable reported. No further details have been added during the interview regarding his character.

Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss made the confirmation about Sheeran's casting in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 on March 12 at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, according to Entertainment Weekly. The producers revealed that Williams is a huge fan of Sheeran and the show has been trying to cast the recording artist "for years" to surprise the young English actress.

Sheeran is not the first recording artist that has ever been featured in the hit HBO series. Other singers like Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol, Will Champion from Coldplay, Sigur Rós and Mastodon have all made a cameo in the past seasons of "Game of Thrones."

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is scheduled to return on HBO on July 16 with seven episodes set to air as opposed to its usual 10-episode order for the previous seasons.
