A group of scientists just developed a new method which has the ability to cure the wound in a fast way. It was reported that this process has also the capability to change the existing cells of the body into new cells to facilitate faster healing.

According to ABC News, this new method is called Tissue Nanotransfection or the TNT and it works by reprogramming the cells using a device which also uses nanotechnology. In employing this process, medical doctors need to put a light electrical stimulation to the skin on its surface. After this, they will place a small chip onto the location of the wound.

Then the chip will now deliver reprogramming factors into the living cells of the skin in just a matter of second. This process is characterized by a high-intensity, focused electric field to be able to convert the reprogrammed cells into whatever type of cells the doctor chooses.

Before, this method was also tested to a mouse in order to save dead tissue and facilitate the re-growth of the limb. Moreover, it was also claimed that this TNT is not like the other past technologies since it is a benign, rapid, and dose-controlled re-programming factor delivery process in just a single cell level. With this, the healing will be quick.

The scientists who worked for this latest medical breakthrough said that this TNT will still be approved and tested for humans within a year. Even if it still needs to be tested for its efficacy in humans, it already presents great help for cell reprogramming in certain health conditions like Parkinson's, stroke, and Alzheimer's.

Before this TNT, Science Daily reported that a group of experts also developed a therapeutic approach which targeted the diabetic patients in terms of their wounds and lesions. This was presented in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and it was made known that it has the ability to prevent complications by also promoting would healing.

Reports indicated that the solution was not just like putting an ointment on the wound since it uses personalized medicine. This medical solution for treating wounds together with the TNT opened the opportunities for experts to look for more methods to facilitate faster wound healing.
