'The Voice' Season 4 Semifinal Eliminations; Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery, and the Swon Brothers Advance
Following the semifinals, NBC's The Voice advanced Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery, and the Swon Brothers to next week's final round of competition.
During Monday night's performances, Usher dubbed the quirky, talented Michelle Chamuel the winner. While the remark followed her brilliant performances of Clarity by Zedd and Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper, the title is now closer than ever for the singer. Team Usher's Chamuel was the first contestant to be promoted to the final round by the votes of American viewers.
However, Chamuel's excitement was doubled by the opportunity to join the newly reassembled Fall Out Boy on the stage to perform their latest hit "My Songs Know What You Did In Dark (Light Em Up)." The pop punk quartet was the first of the evening's many guest performances and the only one not drawn from the ranks of previous Voice competitors.
The show progressed as the Voice's whose who of past hopefuls. Next on the stage was season 3 finalist Nicholas David with his new single "Say Goodbye." Season 2's Tony Lucca with "Never Gonna Let You Go" quickly followed David before Scottish rocker Terry McDermott retuned with "Pictures" off his upcoming EP.
Danielle Bradbery was the lucky second performer to get her ticket to the finales. Monday night saw the 16-year-old Texan represent Team Blake with Please Remember Me by Tim McGraw and Who I Am by Jessica Andrews. The young country singer continues to be a voter favorite, proving age is not a decider of talent.
In the tense final moments of the show the Swon Brother's were the last competitors to advance to the finales. Following the sibling duo's pyrotechnic performance of Turn the Page by Bob Seger and Danny's Song by Loggins and Messina, the brothers became the second members of Team Blake and only duo to advance to this season's finales.
Amber Carrington and Sasha Allen may be off the show, but they departed with the memory of the semi-finalists group performance of Every Rose Has Its Thorn where the hopefull's voices rose in harmony over the guitar playing of the Swon Brothers.
