Pop icon Justin Timberlake fans are extremely happy to hear that he would be returning to the Super Bowl stage after almost 14 years. According to a report by The Hollywood Life , a source said that he could be joined on stage by his ex-lover and singing sensation Britney Spears. Now, this is big if it actually happens.

A source said that the rumors are doing the rounds that Timberlake doing the halftime show is true although one person that would love to join him on stage is Britney Spears.

However, this isn't the first time that the two have reported to collaborate. According to a previous report, rapper Timberland had said that "Justney" would be back in 2018. Fans can only hope that this becomes true and the two reunite on stage.

Earlier it created a storm on the internet when he was named a potential candidate to perform during the 2018 #Super Bowl Halftime Show. Fox News reported that the "Mirrors" singer was in final talks with National Football League (NFL) to complete the agreement on his performance.It was reported that Timberlake's name came up after Jay-Z allegedly turned down the offer to take the Super Bowl stage next year.

The epic love story of Timberlake and Spears turned a lot of heads at one point in time. The duo split in 2002. Spears was apparently caught cheating on Timberlake with Robson while they were dating. The famous breakup between the two pop stars resulted to many things and Timberlake rebounded with Alyssa Milano and it also inspired him to make the song "cry me a river".

After the couple split, a few months later they bumped into each other in a club in LA called the Lounge. The two got into a heated argument according to reports and it went down to a dance-off between them. The rumored incident was also featured on the show Saturday Night Live.

The music industry's royal couple started dating in 1999 and were totally in love with each other.Their high-profile relationship used to make headlines even before social media existed and they broke many hearts when they broke up. That is why it will be awesome to see the two together back again performing.
