'The Voice' 2013 Finalists, Team Blake Dominates; Is the Coach Representation Fair?
Coach Blake Shelton will be well represented in the season finale of The Voice.
With two of the three finalists hailing from Team Blake, this isn't the first time Shelton has represented the most supported competitors. Out of the four seasons The Voice has been on air, Team Blake performers won two of those.
While the voting is in the hands of America, some fans complain that Team Blake brings too much country to the competition and others say all coaches should have singers in play when it comes to the finales. Instead, only Team Blake and Team Usher will be up for votes in next week's final episode.
One could argue that voting fans prefer country music or that Shelton just has a knack for picking and developing winners. Whichever the case, host Carson Daly says the show is not concerned with the way the results have unfolded.
"We don't care at all," Daly told Today. In season one, we thought it'd be a good idea for every coach to have somebody representing. But America's going to complain about something no matter what you do. No one's ever going to be happy with a competition, because favorites are leaving."
What Daly finds to be integral to the program is that that those who deserve to win get a chance to do so.
"We think bringing the best singers to the finale is the most important thing," Daly told Today.
Tune in to NBC at 8 p.m. next Monday and Tuesday to see the final performances of Danielle Bradbery, Michelle Chamuel, and The Swon Brothers and find out who will be crowned the winner.
