The Robertson family, stars of the A&E TV series Duck Dynasty are gearing up to record their first Christmas album due for release later this year and a cruise with fans planned for summer of 2014.

The plans were announced Wednesday. The holiday album entitled Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas will be released by Universal Music Group Nashville on October 29.

The family members will show off their church-trained voices, their sense of humor and will welcome special guest stars on the album.

"Faith, family and ducks -- in that order -- have always been our priorities," said Willie Robertson, chief executive officer of the Duck Commander sporting empire.

"Christmas is an important holiday for us not only because of our strong faith but also our holiday family traditions. We're having a great time making the album. We hope you enjoy it," he added.

The Robertson Family will be hosting a Carnival Cruise called the Duck Commander Cruise from July 14-17, 2014. The cruise will depart from Miami and travel to the Caribbean.

Guests will be able to interact with the family members in events.

Duck Dynasty follows the lives of the Louisiana-based Robertson family and their multi-million dollar company Duck Commander, a fabricator of top-of-the-line duck calls and decoys.

Filming of Season 4 of the reality TV series is underway and family members went to New York City in May to partake in media and press events to promote the show.

Duck Dynasty beat American Idol in the 18-49 demographic last season.

It is unclear when next season will premiere but the series was renewed in May after negotiations.
