A woman has accused Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme of intentionally kicking her in the head during a show on Dec. 9.

Caught On Tape

The 44-year-old rocker was caught on video violently kicking a woman named Chelsea Lauren during the band's set at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert in Los Angeles on Saturday, Dec. 9.

Lauren is a female photographer who works for the stock photography company Shutterstock, which has a licensing partnership with Variety magazine owner Penske Group.

She took to Instagram to post the video footage of the incident that clearly shows Homme kicking her in the head as she was standing near the stage and taking pictures of the rocker. Homme can be seen walking past Lauren and then backtracking a step in what appears to be an attempt to kick away her camera.

Lauren Reveals What Exactly Happened

In an interview with Variety, Lauren recounted the incident that landed her in LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She told the publication that she was standing on one end of the stage while three other photographers had taken their positions on the other side of the stage. Lauren said she was quite excited to be photographing Homme and the remaining band members as it was her first time clicking Queens Of The Stone Age.

In her excitement, she started clicking away as she saw Homme approaching and the next thing she knew, he struck her camera with his foot and the camera connected with her face with a tremendous amount of force. She claims Homme made eye contact with her as he violently kicked her and then continued performing like nothing happened while she was left holding her face in agony.

She said that she did nothing to provoke the violent behavior from Homme, who she also claims was smiling before he kicked her. Lauren then headed to the pressroom, before returning to her position next to the stage to click pictures of Thirty Seconds To Mars and Muse. She later checked in to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she received treatment for her injuries.

Rocker's Bizzarre Behavior

Homme acted erratically throughout the show. At one point, he apparently pulled out a knife and cut his own forehead to induce bleeding. He allegedly also yelled "f**k Muse" (the band was headlining the show after QOTSA's set) and called the crowd "retards" and at one point even urged them to boo him.

Homme Issues Apology

Homme later took to Twitter to issue an apology to the photographer.

"Last night, while in a state of being lost in performance, I kicked over various lighting and equipment on our stage. Today it was brought to my attention that this included a camera held by photographer Chelsea Lauren," he wrote in the statement. "I did not mean for that to happen and I am very sorry. I would never intentionally cause harm to anyone working at or attending one of our shows and I hope Chelsea will accept my sincere apology," he added.
