Betty White is returning to her live comedy roots on Wednesday night's special live episode of Hot in Cleveland.

White has starred in the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland since its inception in 2010. The show took a four-month hiatus in February and returns Wednesday night with a live episode.

White handwrote a note to "the Internet" on Tuesday, which was posted on the Hot in Cleveland Facebook page, telling fans to watch the live episode on Wednesday.

"Who knew at 91 that I would be blessed to work on yet another wonderful and fun sitcom!" White wrote, "And boy, do I have a blast. Where else could I get to be a bride, a jailbird, a college freshman, and a fugitive in Amish Country?"

White plays Elka Ostrovsky, a Polish caretaker with a particularly experienced past. She co-stars with sitcom stars Valerie Bertinelli (One Day at a Time), Jane Leeves (Frasier) and Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me).

"I can guarantee you there will be no mistakes . . . that we can't cover (or have fun trying!) Really what could possibly go wrong!?" White joked in her note.

Acting legend William Shatner and The Office's Brian Baumgartner will be joining White and the gang for Wednesday night's episode.

This is White' first live episode of comedy since hosting Saturday Night Live in 2010. A Facebook campaign had been created to get White to host the show, which ultimately wound up being successful. The 91-year-old comedy legend referenced the campaign in her SNL opening monologue, saying that Facebook "sounds like a huge waste of time."

White was part of a comedy actress roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter recently and confessed how difficult it is to do comedy.

"The tough part about comedy is that you get an instant review." White revealed, "In drama, you can act all over the place. 'Wow, look at her acting, isn't it wonderful?' But with comedy, if you don't get the laugh, you bomb."

See how White and company do tonight on TVLand at 10 p.m.
