The Walking Dead actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and wife, Hilarie Burton, are now proud parents to a baby girl, their first daughter, and second child.

Baby Girl

Morgan welcomed their little bundle of joy on Thursday with a little announcement via social media. The actor asked for a little privacy at this time so they can focus on the new addition to the family.

"Hey y'all... baby gal morgan is spectacular. We just respecting her wishes for laying low a bit longer. But we super appreciate all the well wishes n stuff. Thank you. Xojdhilgusandbabygal," Morgan shared with his 594,000 followers on Twitter.

Well wishes started pouring in from fans following the announcement.

"Wow! Congrats! Today is a pretty special day!" one user wrote.

"Take all the time you need! It's your life and I totally respect your decisions of having some alone time with baby gal Morgan xo," another fan wrote, while another said, "So so happy for you all and glad you are all well."

Details about the birth of the baby have yet to be made public. The couple has yet to also reveal the name of their daughter.

Second Pregnancy

Burton announced she was expecting another child when she debuted a baby bump on the 2017 Emmy Awards red carpet. The One Tree Hill star wore a flowing dress at the time but there was no mistaking the appearance of her growing belly. Morgan also placed his hand on his wife's belly while striking a pose for the camera.

The Supernatural star accidentally revealed that he and his wife were expecting a girl during an event in New Jersey in September. Morgan took to Instagram thereafter to apologize to his wife for the slip-up.

"I texted @hilarieburton right after I spilled the little girl beans ... and, as usual ... she was a rockstar," Morgan wrote.

On her part, Burton has been keeping her pregnancy out of the spotlight. Unlike other celebrities who document their pregnancy on social media, the actress chose to remain private. The one time she shared a selfie of her pregnant belly was in January, when she showed her support for the TimesUp movement by wearing black.

Morgan and Burton married in 2014 and are already parents to a son, 7-year-old Gus.
