Behold! the Monolith singer-bassist Kevin McDade died tragically in a car accident on June 21.

McDade's two Behold! the Monolith band mates, Matt Price and Chase Manhattan, posted a heartfelt memorial, officially announcing McDade's sudden passing through the band's official website.

"We are deeply saddened to report the loss of our band member, friend and brother Kevin McDade in a car accident early Friday evening. Needless to say we are absolutely devastated by this. Our hearts and thoughts go out to his parents, family and girlfriend. Thanks for the time we had and the music we made together. We will, and already do, miss you terribly," Chase and Matt wrote.

McDade fronted Behold! the Monolith since 2007, releasing an EP in 2008 and a self-titled full-length album in 2009. The band's most recent recording is the 2012 full-length Defender, Redeemist.

Fans have sent their condolences to the band, via their social media pages. One fan wrote: "We are absolutely devastated. Thank you for your music, Kevin. There was still so much to do."

Another fan wrote on Facebook: "This band was so good for him. Both of you have been in our thoughts and hearts these past couple days."
