Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise were on hand to celebrate Jerry Bruckheimer's addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The filmmaker and producer has worked to bring an incredibly long list of films and television programs to fruition, and actors such as Depp appreciate his efforts.

These days the word legend gets bandied around all too easily, but not here and not today," The Lone Ranger star stated, according to the New York Daily News. ""My path was fortunate enough to collide with this man some years ago, and certainly since my collaboration with Jerry, my life has never been the same and probably won't be for a while, anyway."

The Lone Ranger isn't the only Bruckheimer produced film Depp has stared in.

"Without Jerry there would be no [Pirates of the Caribbean] there would be no Captain Jack, there would be no revived 'Lone Ranger,' there would be no reinvigorated Tonto," Depp said, according to the New York Daily News. "So I have a lot to thank him for."

Bruckheimer's credits also include the Cruise imbued Top Gun, which has been announced for a sequel.

The 67-year-old has been involved in such other films as Flashdance, Beverly Hills Cop, Bad Boys, Gone in Sixty Seconds, National Treasure, and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. His television credits include CSI: NY, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Cold Case.
