'Teen Mom' Star Maci Bookout Is Going To Be Appearing On 'Naked And Afraid'
Maci Bookout has taken on a risqué new venture and will soon be venturing from MTV to the Discovery Channel for an appearance on their hit show Naked and Afraid.
Although the network has yet to confirm their lineup for the upcoming celebrity edition of their reality series, a new report claims that multiple sources have confirmed that the longtime Teen Mom OG star and mother of three has already filmed her episode.
“Maci spent a great deal of time training for the show before she left,” a source told The Ashley's Reality Roundup on March 5. “She got to bring a few extra ‘personal’ items than the typical contestant on the show, but other than that, she didn’t get a lot of special treatment.”
Naked and Afraid features participants being dropped off in the wilderness and forces them to fend for themselves — without any clothes on.
Maci Bookout Is A Good Secret-Keeper
According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, Bookout kept her upcoming appearance on the show and the filming of her episode on the down-low and didn't even tell her Teen Mom OG costars, including Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood.
Although the casts of Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 have been fairly limited on the projects they are allowed to do outside of the series due to their contracts with MTV, the network didn't have a problem with Bookout joining the upcoming season of Naked and Afraid because it didn't take away from her role on their network.
“Because this show has nothing to do with Maci’s life as a teen parent, it was not a problem for her to do it,” another source explained to The Ashley. “It doesn’t matter that it’s not a Viacom-owned show.”
Maci Bookout Must Not Be Pregnant
While it has been rumored that Bookout is in the midst of expanding her family, either biologically or through adoption, it seems fairly safe to assume that if she was recently dropped off in the wilderness, she's likely not expecting baby number 4 at the moment.
The new season of Naked and Afraid will begin airing on March 11.
In the meantime, fans can catch Maci Bookout, her family, and her costars, including Lowell and Portwood, on new episodes of Teen Mom OG season 7 on Monday nights at 9 p.m. on MTV.
