Caitlyn Jenner isn't taking any chances when it comes to her health. The 68-year-old posted on social media to warn fans about sun exposure.

Warts And All

Jenner frequently uses her Instagram and Twitter accounts to share candid details about her life, whether it's beauty secrets, or personal updates about her transition into womanhood.

The PSA about being safe in the sun and taking care of one's skin is just the latest, and it makes sense for a California denizen such as herself.

It's nothing new for a celebrity to preach about wearing sunscreen, of course, but Jenner has a new, very personal insight as she revealed she recently had a spot removed from the tip of her nose.

Jenner shared a photo of herself completely makeup free on Tuesday, showcasing how the whole tip of her nose is red and raw from the removal of sun-damaged skin.

"I recently had to get some sun damage removed from my nose. PSA- always wear your sunblock," she wrote as the caption.

Jenner did not specify whether or not the damage is cancerous, but PEOPLE later confirmed that it was indeed a cancerous basal cell carcinoma she had removed. The commonly found skin cancer can be treated via prescription creams or, in certain cases, surgery.

Skincare Routine

The activist and spokesperson opened up about her skincare routine back in 2015, when she transitioned to a female.

Jenner, who launched a lipstick with M.A.C. in 2016 followed by a full collection last year, admitted that she dealt with texture issues on her face after initially removing her beard.

"I had, back in the '80s, my beard removed, which actually took a lot of volume out of this area, so its kinda been a little bit of pot holey," Jenner revealed in a video.

She confirmed it was getting better as the years went by.

Jenner is often seen out and about enjoying the California sunshine. This past Sunday, she posted about enjoying the NASCAR race at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontina. The reality TV star and former Olympic athlete was covered up in a jacket, jeans, and sunglasses for the weather.

Wolverine Speaks Out

Actor Hugh Jackman posted about his own brush with cancer around this time last year, revealing at the time that he, too, had just had a basal cell carcinoma removed. Jackman urged social media followers to wear sunscreen.

He's been vocal about recurring basal cell carcinomas over the years, sharing pictures of lesions on his nose. The actor first noticed a growth while filming 2014's superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past.

"I was shooting the movie, and I had a bit of blood one morning, and I thought I'd scratched myself in a fight," he said back in 2013.

For a few weeks, Jackman just assumed he was scratching at a scab, but his makeup artist noticed the growth and soon his wife stepped in to urge him to get it checked.
