Beauty and the Beast star, Kristin Kreuk has broken her silence on the current scandal involving her friend and former costar, Allison Mack and the Nxivm. Kreuk was also accused of recruiting and luring young women to be a part of Nxvim which has now been exposed as a sex cult that brands and brainwashes women who are members.

 Kreuk remained silent when the accusations first made headlines but now, the actress has taken to her social media page to speak about her involvement in the alleged cult and maintain her innocence.

Kristin Is Innocent

The former Edgemont star posted on her Twitter account her thoughts on the matter and clearing herself of any affiliation with the Nxvim.

The actress stated in the post that she took an intensive class with Executive Success Programs/Nxvim for help with personal growth. She also stated that during her time there she never witnesses any illegal activity and hadn't had contact with the organization in five years.

"Thank you to all the brave women who have come forward to share their stories and expose DOS; I can't imagine how difficult this has been for you. I am deeply disturbed and embarrassed to have been associated with NXIVM. I hope that the investigation leads to justice for all of those affected," the wrote in her post.

Kreuk starred as Lana Lang on the show Smallville, alongside Mack and Tom Welling who portrayed Clark Kent. Kreuk's character was the love interest of Clark throughout the majority of the show.

After it was reported that NXIVM's leader, Keith Raniere was arrested in Mexico, it has alluded that Mack's arrest was inevitable. A video clip was released on Thursday, March 29, with Mack being accosted by the police. 

The actress was named as one of the co-founders of the controversial group that reportedly branded women, starved them, and made them sex slaves for Raniere. 

Mack is best known for role on Smallville as Chloe Sullivan, the best friend of Clark Kent and later wife of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. Following the ending of Smallville, she starred on the shows: Wilfred, Lost in Oz, and American Odyssey.
