Selena Gomez 'Come & Get It' Becomes First No. 1 for Stars Dance World Tour Singer [VIDEO]
Selena Gomez has a lot to smile about.
Come & Get It, the lead single off her upcoming album Stars Dance, topped the charts giving Gomez her first No. 1 ever. The teary-eyed singer shared the news via YouTube on Monday. The video shows a friend telling Gomez to take a look at something on the phone he hands her. After looking at the phone, the 20-year-old discovers the news.
"I've done four records and this is the first No. 1 that I've ever had so I can not thank you guys enough. I want to thank every radio station, my label and the most important of all is my fans for loving the song, for requesting it, it means to much to me," she said. "I love you all."
She also took to Twitter to continue to express her excitement.
"This has been 1 of my proudest achievements & I couldn't do it without everyone! So grateful," she wrote along with a photo displaying her song at the top of the charts.
The song, which was released in April, appears on Gomez's debut solo album. This is the first time the former Disney star will release music without her band The Scene. With them, she put out three albums titled Kiss & Tell in 2009, A Year Without Rain in 2010 and When The Sun Goes Down in 2011.
As Enstars previously reported, Gomez had also released the album's cover, full tracklist and the second single Slow Down in June.
"I'm in a really good place and I'm really happy with everything I've been doing," she told E! News in an April interview. "I'm stoked for my fans to hear the whole album and everything I've been working on."
Gomez will also head out on tour to promote the album that hits stores on July 23.
