Meghan Markle is quickly becoming a style icon, and she just revealed her secret on how to wear heels all day long.

It Makes Complete Sense

The Suits alum has been in the spotlight ever since she first hooked up with Prince Harry. However, now that she's at the center of the public eye, her style is being put under the microscope.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the Duchess of Sussex always seems to be wearing shoes that are too big for her, particularly when it comes to high heels. She was photographed wearing oversized shoes on June 19, at the Royal Ascot in Berkshire.

According to fashion expert Harriet Davey, Markle likely chooses shoes that are either a size or a couple of sizes too big for her to avoid the pain associated with wearing stilettos all day.

"Celebs often go a size up, or even two, in the shoe department when they're at an event or on the red carpet and it's for one reason we can all relate to -- to avoid blisters," she told The Sun in the U.K.

Davey explained that wearing heels day in, day out, can lead feet to swell, which may in turn cause blisters and bunions -- something fashion icon Victoria Beckham allegedly suffers with.

As for how the Duchess manages to avoid slipping around in her shoes, there's a simple fix for that too. Anyone looking to follow in Markle's footsteps can stuff the toes with cotton wool or tissue.

Rising To The Occasion

Markle recently had her very first one-on-one meeting with Queen Elizabeth. On foot of that, she's reportedly taking over one of her royal duties.

Markle and Prince Harry will reportedly be taking the lead on the Queen's Young Leaders programme.

"[They] will welcome those in the Queen's Young Leaders programme to Buckingham Palace this summer, continuing the role started by the Queen during her lifetime of service to the Commonwealth nations," it reports.

This move makes sense, considering Prince Harry is already the patron of the Queen's Young Leaders. He gushed about taking over the position in April of this year.

"In my new role I will work to support The Queen, my father The Prince of Wales, and my brother William, all of whom know that young people are the answer to the challenges of today," he said.

Prince Harry noted that his then-fiance Markle would be working alongside him and that she was thrilled about taking on the new role.
