It seems like 10K Projects has given their former artist, Tekashi 6ix9ine, a 'welcome back' gift.

According to a TMZ report, Tekashi landed a $10 million record with the independent record label. What makes things interesting, however, is that the rapper is currently in jail after getting busted for racketeering and possession of firearms last year.

The deal will reportedly take effect once he gets out of prison, which 6ix9ine expects to be sooner rather than later. As part of the deal, the 23-year-old rapper and songwriter will have to produce two albums -- one in English and the other is in Spanish.

As the rapper's sentencing hearing is scheduled on December 18 instead of January 2020, per the request of his legal team, it is expected he can start working on the albums before the new year. There are reports that he already contacted a producer in New York and someone who got beats for him.

Snitches Gets Paid

The date has been pushed up as 6ix9ine cooperated with the authorities for the trial.

Last September 23, Charlie Puth hinted his followers that he promised to be 6ix9ine's producer for free in his next record. However, he immediately deleted it as soon as his fans threw negative reactions.

In the short period of time, netizens were able to still spread the tweet along with their comments. The singer posted a song by Common and apologized for posting something about the controversial rapper. However, netizens are still clueless why Puth posted and deleted it in the first place.

Prior to the news, Tekashi 6ix9ine had already rejected the offer for witness protection program. He testified against the two Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members, Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack, who were both found guilty of the same charges as him.

Ellison was also convicted for kidnapping 6ix9ine after the rapper personally brought it up in the courtroom. Mack, on the other hand, was found guilty in distributing narcotics. 6ix9ine stood as a witness in order to reduce his supposed 47-year prison sentence.

During the trial, 6ix9ine also mentioned that Jim Jones and Cardi B are also associates of Nine Trey, and stated the possible involvement of the two in the controversy. After his statement, Cardi B  tweeted that she is a Brim Bloods' member, not Nine Trey's.

No Bouncing Back?

While 6ix9ine will benefit from his snitching, not everyone was happy about it. Recently, rapper Blueface condemned the young rapper while he was at the Los Angeles Airport.

The Cash Money West artist said that there is 'no bouncing back' from the Tekashi's snitching. He also added that 10K Projects is only using the controversy to add more publicity in the label.

6ix9ine's rejection for the witness protection was said to be the rapper's death wish, as per his fans. His decision to testify also surprised the hip-hop community, including Snoop Dogg who posted an update on his Instagram page after the trial.

Despite all these, his trolling, trademark 'rainbow hair,' and behavior are something his followers are waiting for once he steps out of the bars. The multi-million record deal is waiting for him, too.
