Sports agent Scott Boras responded to Jay-Z after the rapper dissed him in his latest album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.

The 43-year-old Brooklyn rapper, who recently became a sports agent with Roc Nation Sports, took a shot at Boras on the song "Crown."

"Scott Boras, you over baby. Robinson Cano you coming with me," Jay-Z raps.

Jay-Z recently signed the New York Yankees player, who was previously represented by Boras.

Boras spoke with ESPN and didn't seem bothered by the reference.

"I'm a fan of jazz," Boras said, adding that his favorite musician is Bernie Williams. "What other musician could play center field for the Yankees and win four world championships?"

Boras also spoke to another ESPN reporter and said the biggest lesson he learned from his tenure in the business is not to "worry about external factors."

"You just have to focus on being the best you can be," Boras said. "I've been asked to negotiate all kinds of things. And I don't do that because I am singularly committed to the game of baseball. My company doesn't do anything else."

Jay-Z, announced in the beginning of April that he was relinquishing his share in the Brooklyn Nets team in order to become a sports agent. The NBA prohibits NBA owners to work as sports agents. Jay-Z issued a statement, via his LifeandTimes website, confirming the split from the Nets.

"It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I'm a Brooklyn Net forever. It's been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class," the statement read.

Jay-Z and Roc Nation also represent WNBA player, Skylar Diggins, NBA star Kevin Durant and NFL player, Geno Smith.
