Mariah Carey owns Christmas. After all, people know Christmas is here once they hear the holiday anthem "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Carey graced the holiday season in the 1990s when she released her fourth studio album "Merry Christmas". Since then, one of the album's songs, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" became a yearly hit.

As a gift for all her fans, she re-released her album as a special holiday edition and made three world records in the process.

Guiness recognized Carey's song as the highest-charting holiday song by a solo artist (Billboard US Hot 100), most streamed song on Spotify in a full day (female category; 10,819,009 streams in December 2018), and the most weeks to top U.K's Top 10 Chart for a Christmas Song (20 titles).

The Guinness Book of World Records acknowledged Carey's historic win in an official press release.

"We're excited to welcome Mariah Carey into the Guinness World Records family through her incredible achievements for her hit single, "All I Want for Christmas is You," Guinness World Records adjudicator, Michael Empric said. "Mariah Carey and "All I Want for Christmas is You" are Officially Amazing!"

Guinness presented Carey with her certificate and a copy of the Guinness World Records 2020 Edition during her show at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.

According to Empric, who personally handed the awards, the song "All I Want for Christmas Is You" became a "holiday staple" for all people around the world.

Right after the show, Carey took it to Instagram to show her gratitude to Guinness.

Carey's New Holiday Special Album Slayed!

After the re-release of the 25-year-old song "All I Want for Christmas Is You," it raked around 520 million streams on Spotify as of this writing.

In addition, Spotify released data that the song has been added to over 12 million users' playlists and was only made available on the platform.

The enhanced album also includes Carey's version of "O Holy Night", "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)", and "Joy to the World."

They unveiled the new album through an exclusive video showing how the singer prepares for the holiday season. In the same video, Carey pressed a button to "officially" announce the beginning of the Christmas season and to welcome her album on Spotify.

Carey Tries Cosmopolitan's Expensive Taste Test!

In other news, Cosmopolitan invited the "Queen of Christmas" to appear in their series "Expensive Taste Test" episode.

Expensive Taste Test is a segment produced by the international fashion and entertainment magazine where a celebrity is invited to play a game. The game includes presenting two items, with the guest celebrity tring to guess which product is the "more expensive".

They handed two kinds of holiday stockings to Carey for the first round. The singer won after she chose the pricier one according to "what she liked best."

For the next product, Carey needed to choose between two different Santa hats, which she faced a hard time picking one in the end.
